Hid's on the way!

    Ordered some 55w 6000k hids last nite. Hope the look good and not a pain in the arse to install?. The low beams are h11 right?lol kinda late to double check.lol anyone else installed hids on a prius c?

    Consider installing them with an HID relay wiring harness that draws power from the fuse box instead of the OEM lowbeam wiring.

    Hooking 55w ballasts directly to your factory headlight wiring may result in flickering or failure to ignite 100% of the time.

    I've had my 55w ballasts direct for almost a year now and no issues, but he is right, this is when you get iffy. They are H11, yes. Good luck, they are simple to install.

    Well installed my hids and they look really good! But didn't really know where to put the ballasts. Just kinda shoved them down between some other wires in there where ever I could. Where have any of yall installed hids put the ballasts? Thanks

    I think The Retrofit Source has an installation video online that shows slim ballasts being located behind the plastic front fender liners.

    I mounted mine with double sided velcro tape on the shock towers for easy access in the future. Not as pretty as a hidden setup though.

    Yea I did the drivers side on the shock tower. That vid is of a regular prius. The C engine bay is slightly differ.
