    10 mile commute each way. The core reason for purchase - preferred hybrid parking in my garage. The car is definitely growing on me.

    Today one of my bosses was driving past my prius in the parking lot. He asked who was driving a prius with a U.S. Marine sticker on it. So he must not think of prius drivers as tough men. Now I have to put a Fire fighter sticker on the other side of back hatch.

    So far i like my prii can't wait summer to really see what kind of mpg i could get out of that car.

    Retired soldier, working a second career as a civilian employee of the defense department. I've been driving various "economical" cars since buying a Mustang II as my first used car, a Mazda GLC as my first new car, and most recently a Honda Fit. The Army plates on a Prius may confuse people, but I don't see it as strange at all. As an enlisted guy I was never going to get rich, but what money I had needed to be spent with some care. That just stuck with me, and the Prius is the logical next step. (I did get the 4 model so I could have a few creature comforts.)

    I work in law enforcement, former Marine.

    This car isn't my DD, my better half works in HealthCare and she drives 70-80mi a day RT. When I do have a choice in cars I always lean towards hers. Can't beat the gas mileage :)

    Lawyer. 6k round trip to work each day + free charging at the office. Love my new PiP! Never had owned a new car before but this was worth it for tax rebates + Toyota's rebates. Made the car cheaper than a new base Prius. Love the new car smell too!

    $23,500 before sales tax when I factor in the tax incentives.

    $29,500 selling price - $2,000 from Toyota - $2,500 federal tax rebate - $1,500 CA rebate.

    That's an awesome price, maybe best I've seen! But to be fair I think you can get the regular Prius base model just a hair cheaper.

    I work for a little engineering firm called Siemens. It's just me, my manager, and about 400,000 of my closest friends. My division specializes in commercial HVAC and building automation. My specific role is in the Training department.

    Use to be a millwright, gave it up for job at home year round as equipment operator for local school district. Only issue is getting use to all the paid holidays off...
