I just bought a 2013 Prius Plug-in any suggestions, stories, or experience from current/previous Plug-in owners?
Welcome Carl...tell us what state you are in in your profile. I always like to tell the stories about the West Virginia PiP buyers last year this time getting PiPs for ~$16,000 after $2500 Fed and $7500 WV incentives, but they lost WV incentives in April...so boring now.
I leased, the tax credit is only good for folks who buy. Right now Toyota is offering a $6000 rebate on 2013 leases in OR and WA.
congrats and welcome to the club! the stories, facts, complaints and praise are all here, just peruse some threads. all the best!
Welcome and congrats on your new ride. Anxious to hear your input and comparisons to your new ride. Any initials thoughts?
Welcome to PRIUSchat!! Read the manual; and enjoy all the money you will save!! And then you will become a Prius lover .
Congratulations on you Prius Plug In. The more you save, the more you'll want to save. It's a fun obsession,
I leased a 13 plug in as well. The 6k credit couple months ago. Love the car. I did find pip and electric car drivers are an odd bunch in general. Lol.
Welcome and good luck, yes a very odd bunch, dive into all the plug in threads very interesting reading!
I got so nuts trying not to have the ice come on i was driving around freezing with windows all fogged up. Not safe. Lol. I am now using heat and defroster.
Thanks all! I think I understand the obsession. When I drove it home (24 miles) the 1st day with a full battery I got 76 mpg on a very hilly commute. When I saw the readout informing me of the mpg I was hooked.
Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!!! Caught you already....! I'd recommend a close read of the sticky FAQ thread near the top of the page, a lot of great info in that.
