2014 Prius v (lowercase v) first tank fill up

    Just filled up for the first time with my 2014 Prius v.
    I traveled 409 miles and required 8.9 gallons to fill up.
    El Toro averaged 45.9 MPG    ​

    I just bought my first 2013 Prius v. I think you need a tutor for this car. The broshures doesn't give you all the info you may be looking for on a particular subject. I just filled up for the first time . I did the calculation. 49.2 MPG
    I live in Massachusetts. I wasn't expecting this. I'm looking for the do's and dont's of driving with a hybrid.Any suggestions? thanks,Bill

    I was getting 45 mpg on my 2014 prius v

    then i changed the oil myself at 4500 miles to synthetic 00- 20w castrol and now i am getting 51 mpg. same driving as before
