Hello all, I'm getting busy on these forums, as some if you probably noticed. Just picked up my used Prius v Five this weekend. Strangest of things: when I select SAT, I have access to hundreds of stations. I didn't subscribe to the service myself. Should I just shut up and enjoy? Or should I investigate this further? Heck, I don't even know how one goes about activating the service in the first place.
I'd just roll with it for now. Some people's service just never shut off so that may be your case, or maybe the previous owner paid for x months and never did anything about it.
If you do sign up with them, see if you can a temporary, one-shot number from your credit card company. Those guys are very oily, and if you want to cancel down the road...
They're going a free preview right now. If the XM didn't sound so crappy in my car, I'd probably subscribe. Alas, when my free trial ends, I'll be letting it go and sticking with Pandora and Spotify through my phone.
"OILY" IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT !! they are liars, and cheats. and are not to be trusted. especially w/ your money.
^^ the prius comes with a 3 month free trial of Sirius. When I got my 2012 I had to wait for the trial to end before I could link my real account. I believe it was listed on the window sticker but not 100% sure.
