I am interested in the 2014 Prius plug-in with the advanced technology package but have not been able to find any dealers that sell it in the Boston area. Does anyone have a recommendation for how to locate one of those models?
I thought it is one of the launch state. PiPs are low in inventory. Perhaps your dealer was out of stock?
Not sure what a PiP is? Sorry, I am new to this site. I have contacted dealerships and the responses have been any of: 1) That version has not been built in 2 years and will not likely be available 2) We have sold out of those but we have some nice 2013's you can test drive! 3) They have not yet delivered them to us and we are not sure when they will appear. Nor which versions and models. I have also used the locate feature but there is nothing. I am just looking to understand when and where they will become available. I am ready to give someone some money for it but it seems no one wants to take it
it sounds like they haven't arrived yet. all you can do is wait and keep searching dealer inventory. why not check out a '13, it has more equipment than a '14 and maybe same or better price. btw, welcome to priuschat, all the best! i just got an email from shawn gormley at acton toyota. he said the 14's are on the way and if you want to contact him, he will keep you informed. and he would be happy to take your money. ( i added that)
Thanks for the lead! I will check it out. Looks like some dealerships are beginning to advertise on the websites but still not actually available.. yet!
Looks like they are not likely going to deliver this version to the Boston area. I was told the nearest dealership with this model is 240 miles away... additionally in all of 2013 they only sold 3 of these cars in all of New England.
