    I just finished a DIY install of a Directed system with the add-on SmartStart system. (Viper and Directed are the same company and same products)

    Here is the thread I used for the DIY, the install is VERY easy. A bit intimidating at first (only 3 wires to connect) if you are uncomfortable with wiring, but real easy if you have courage to do the work.
