I have a '13 Prius III, and had to replace both tail light assemblies for moisture. They both developed the moisture several hours after washing it. It was covered under warranty of course, but seems odd that both would develop the moisture at the same time. Has anyone else heard of this? The assemblies would be quite expensive to replace out of warranty.
Probably from a defective batch. I had one of my LED headlights replaced under warranty for split seal and the original and replacement are still fine, and they're even more expensive at $800 a pop. Should they fail again (highly unlikely), upgrade to the better looking full-LED aftermarket taillights.
Probably they where from the same bad batch like 32kcolors has said. On older cars it used to be that the owned changed a bulb and ether forgot to replace or install the o ring correctly. Hopefully your replacement lasts, otherwise I would go to the net to find the next replacement.
Well the new tail light assemblies already have moisture in them. I contacted Toyota and they were going to start a case and I have not heard anything yet. I will keep posting as the saga continues
Just noticed my tai lights and headlights had some moisture after a wash. I got a 13 persona i figure since I bought new I wouldn't have any issues, guess I was wrong
