Finally picked up my new to me 2008 Touring model package 6 with 88k miles. I paid $10.5k from a private seller with full Toyota dealership maintenance history. I think I got a great deal and I'm stoked to finally be a Prius owner! I sold my 2000 Toyota Echo with 237,259 miles this past weekend for $2k so that helped offset the cost of the Prius.

Didn't get to spend much time with the car this evening but I have all the original paper work and manuals so I plan on doing a lot of reading tonight.

Below are the list of mods I'll be doing ASAP:

    1. Dodge stubby antenna - already purchased might install tonight
    2. De-badge dealership tag from back hatch - major pet peeve for me
    3. Full window tint all the way around - planning on 15%
    4. Order personalized plate - still debating on my own idea or an OKC Thunder tag
    5. Floor liners - I'm thinking Christmas list wish for this one
    6. XM radio - call and reactivate so I can listen to Howard Stern again on my commute
    7. Oil change and Fumoto valve install
    8. What else am I missing?

I really recommend to convert all interior lighting to LED. This will save you from battery being discharged if you leave interior light on or door not fully closed. 12-V Battery in Prius is small and can easy be drained overnight by interior lights. If you decide to do it, I recommend high-quality LEDs, cheap ones from Amazon or eBay don't last.
    Best,

I forgot to add LED's to the list but for sure I want to do that. I need to do some research and find out the specific sizes needed.

The previous owner keep every piece of paper work including the original window sticker! Hard to believe 5 years ago the MSRP was right around $30k.

I also found paper work for the original extended warranty good for 8 years or 100,000 miles. It still has a few years and about 22k miles of coverage left, do you think it would be worth the $50 transfer fee?

Yes it would be worth it. Are you in an California emissions state? if not your battery warranty would end at the same time as the extended warranty. That wouldn't leave much time for problems to come up and be fixed free of charge. But if it was mine I would pay the $50.
