Had our 2013 Pearl white tinted today with SolarGard Supreme 50% driver/pass. windows, 12% back doors and top half of hatch, 37% on already factory tinted lower small hatch window. I'll post pictures in a few days.
So that's 38% all-around driver passenger back doors and back hatch? Does the lower window on the back hatch seem darker than the upper hatch window? I went with 50% on the front passenger and driver windows, 15% back doors and upper hatch, and 40% on the little lower hatch window. The lower hatch window came out noticeably lighter than the upper hatch window. I thought it would come out close to the same. I am fine with it lighter though. It will probably giver better backing up visibility at night.
i just did: 35% front sides 5% back 50% front windshield yea i know 35% and the 50% are illegal in CA never been caught yet. altho once got a warning from a cop
What the... . Holy cow. You are riskin' it. I've heard 35% fronts is popular, but stretching it for CHP's. But with 50% front windshield, the interior must be very dark even in daytime. Even with my 50% front sides, my tint guy recommended if I see a CHP (before he sees me), to roll the fronts down. Someone here on PC recommended if pulled over at night, roll down the fronts and turn on the interior light. If an officer feels safer approaching a car, he's a little less apprehensive. How long have you had this tint to have already gotten a warning? I think you got your car the day after I did in Dublin.
you misread my post 50% the front winshield. my last car, i've had for 4+ yrs, only got a warning once (about a year ago in SF during the day). last car was 50% front and front sides. i'm mainly in the south bay.
(Yeh, I caught my typo of '5%' front WS.). I wish you continued stealth-ness from CHP's with the new 35%fronts w/ 50% front WS. Best of luck.
