Does anyone know if Prius owners get tax benefits of any sort due to driving an Eco friendly vehicle ? Turn off signatures in Tapatalk Tapatalk
US Federal Credits Not hybrids, not since 2010. Federal Tax Credits for Hybrids Plug in Hybrids do Federal Tax Credits for Plug-in Hybrids Purchased in or after 2010 Individual states or other countries will vary.
Yep. My 1 per month fill up went from 17gal (2002 Highlander - 18mpg) to 5 gal (1/2 tank) on my 2013 Prius.
For hybrids- No Federal benefits. No state incentives other than some HOV access...possibly CO has some minor tax incentives. In general, for a hybrid you will pay $3000-4000 more compared to an equivalent non-hybrid, more sales tax, and in some states (eg; VA) fairly significant annual car taxes.
....correction to my older post above: Washington DC gives tax benefits (no sales tax) to all cars over 40 MPG EPA CITY (including Prius Hybrid))
Slightly off subject, Ikea has parking places near the front for Hybrid vehicles, the spaces are marked as such and are next to the spaces for plug ins.
