Go for it! Set the date and the time and then let people know. Make it convenient for you and then do it regularly, one a quarter, once every other month, or whatever. You may even want to check with a local Toyota dealer to see if they have a meeting room you can use for free. Heck, they may even throw in free coffee and munchies. I've run the local car hybrid car club since 2004 and it's been great.
