My iPad shows the time of day at the top of the home screen, and in some apps. I'd like to make it show the day of the week, date, and time. My iMac gives me the choice of how and if to show date and time, but I can find nothing in the settings to do the same on the iPad. Is there a way to do this? Thanks.
No but there are alternatives. Put the calendar app in the Taskbar it shows the date. Or swipe finger from the top of the screen down and that will show the date and other interesting informational items. Otherwise go to this link Apple - iPad - Feedback and send in a request for this to be put in the next iOS.
Not without jailbreaking your iOS device. And right now that's not possible with current iOS 7.03. iOS isn't OS X.
Maybe there should be a general iPad questions thread... Over at Tivocommunity, they have "The Official Apple iPad Thread! : It's not just a big iPhone!" where they just talk about iPads. It has over 13000 posts and is at 448 pages long now.
So that anyone with a question only has to search through 448 pages, hoping to find their question answered? I kind of think that's excessive. It would be cool, though, if some iPad guru were to write an unauthorized user's manual, the way john1701a did for the Prius. That thing is massively useful.
In short you can't change those settings. If you have iOS 7 you can swipe down from the top of your device and it will display that information. iPad Mini ? HD
