Given it's a quiet place here, I've created a dash for us Prius owners with incorporation with hybrid battery SOC. Dashboard Details - DashXL.net Hope you guys enjoy it.
Just hybrid battery charge. I'm not an expert in creating these things but I believe that was the only hybrid specific information that is available.
I'm confused - maybe. 1. Where is the Hybrid Battery Charge shown on the link? 2. How would one download this to the iPhone? I'm looking into a wireless (WIFI) ODBII plug for using with my iPhone - but not having much luck finding a quality unit under $100 -- and then I need to *buy* the app. What are you using?
I am using a direct cable from the plug so that I can charge the phone and see the info at the same time. To download it onto your phone, you need to run the Dashcommand program and "update" the file. It's a very antiquated web site / program where you can't update it unless you've updated it. Hybrid charge is at the top right ranging from 40% to 80%
I have it working on my iPhone 5. I wasn't able to get the hybrid pids working though. I just sent back my wifi adapter last week and got a tracking number for the replacement today. I bought an iPad 4 on Saturday and dash command seems to be working fine on it as we'll buy I won't be able to test anything until I get my adapter back. I couldn't find as dash that I liked so I made my own. I plan on modifying it shortly assuming I can get SOC of the hybrid battery on my new adapter. Dashboard Details - DashXL.net
I can't get any hybrid info in DashCommand but EngineLink works amazing. I'm going to create a guide for it sometime soon. I love this app.
Any more news on Dash Command and the iPhone 5? They seemed to have dropped the price down to $10. What wifi adapter are people using with it? Thanks!
It's been a while since I've played with it. They make you buy pid packs now which is frustrating considering it was $50 to begin with. It's $10 for each pack. So far it's like 5-6 packs of 2-3 years ford vehicles. I have an 03 ford but I dont feel like paying another $10. It's an awesome app and I olive that it integrates with my Pioneer AppRadio in my truck. The 7" touchscreen is awesome. Still no Prius PID's as far as I know. Works great on my iPhone 5 with ios7.
i use dashcommand with my iphone5s... what dashboard is best for prius? i searched for prius and there were 2 dashboards but now i'm just using stock one...
Since this is one of the only threads I can find on the subject, I am going to revive this thread and ask if anyone has had success with Dashcommand and the iPhone with the Hybrid PID's. I have installed two and can't get any info on the Hybrid Battery or the Fuel pressure etc. Engine stuff works great just like any other vehicle. However I really want to figure out where I stand on the Hybrid battery health. (obviously its not going to be highly accurate but some indication is better than none.)
