Iphone 4s and 2010 prius

Must be some incompatibility issues with BT in the Gen3. I'm not experiencing this Siri problem with the Gen 2 BT.

Would be interesting to see if same problem exists with the v.

I have the same problem with trying to call with Siri ... tries then immediate hangup. You can easily sync your Iphone contact list with the Prius unit (do this from the car). Only takes a few seconds. Then use the Prius system to make the call.

To answer, use the button on the steering wheel. If you answer with the phone, I think the phone thinks you want to use the handset and doesn't link through the bluetooth ... which I guess is a feature.

After figuring all this out, I think this bug with Siri hanging up isn't much of an issue from a useability standpoint. Still works for other Siri functionality using the Prius Bluetooth.

 

I'm very late to this thread but did anyone ever find a solution to the "Siri immediately hanging up after trying to place a call" problem? I finally got the iPhone 4S yesterday and am having same issue. I don't think it's a Siri problem - I think it's because Siri actually has to use the Prius' phone software simply to talk to the driver in the first place (thus why when I'm using Siri, the Prius phone screen appears with "TALKING"). I've noticed before - even with other phones - that if that screen is already apparent (like when I'd try to immediately redial the same number on my Blackberry) it hangs up right away after attempting a new call. It's like there's some kind of hiccup or glitch. All that said, wondering if anyone found a fix for this, beyond simply uploading your contacts into the Prius computer and always dialing directly from the car, foregoing Siri entirely. Thank you!

 

I have an iphone 5, and a Prius 2010 V, and I have the same problem. Siri dials the number, then the call disconnects.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem is? Is a prius software problem with bluetooth?

 

Hi everyone I too have this same annoying problem! Very annoying that we can't use Siri to make any voice calls. I'm using an iPhone 5s and 2010 Prius. Calls immediately hangs up when Siri tries to dial a voice call. Not sure if this is a bluetooth issue with Siri and Apple or Toyota. Either way let's try to get this solved for all of us here. There is a driving law in my city so we have to drive handsfree. I just bought a Satechi remote to use to initiate Siri but now realized this is not going to work until the Siri calling issue is fixed.
