Hey Guys, I just picked up a used 2010 Prius with tech package and it came with all the trimmings. One thing that I'm confused about is that I can't figure out where the cargo net goes! The net has 2 hooks that seem to attach to the bottom loop brackets but the top of the cargo net is just a simple loop of stretchy cable. Where the heck do you loop these on? I can't find anywhere in the trunk to loop/attach these to. Thanks,
You're supposed to remove the bolts from the side of the hatch frame and attach those loops there. Its a pretty useless design if you need to take it out regularly.
There is a YouTube video on it. It requires drilling etc. The Dealer installed it for me. The 2011 they changed the design to include hooks
There are 2 black hooks, one on each side that are just below where you use your trunk cover to latch and that's where they go one on each side
When I bought my cargo net a month ago, the package came with two coated steel hooks that need to be installed where matt b. says they are. My car originally came with just the bolts there rdgrimes was talking about. The installation did not require any drills, and only involved unbolting the existing bolts, slipping the steel hook eyelets through those bolts, and reinstalling the bolts back in the holes they came from. The net hooks/unhooks just fine, and I do that on a regular basis.
Does anyone know if it's possible to buy just the hooks from toyota? Not sure why my car is missing them.
