55-80 degrees out, cool weather, no AC needed, just cross draft. Not too cold to drop the ICE efficiency, and before the winter blend gas rolls out (Nov 1st). I can swing 55+ MPG calculated with no effort with my 17" Five. I am loving it.
Same here. Furthermore, I noticed that even if I don't use AC in summer, MPG seems to suffer from high temps. Hot battery syndrome?
O0ps! As soon as the overnight temps dropped under 60F, I'm not getting the 60 MPG anymore in my commute. More like mid 50's. 60F is the line in sand for me.
I am doing 59 mpg in October, which is a big jump from September. The weather must be a factor, but I also just switched to green cap Mobil one. Other tweaks: K&N filtercharger, 40 lb stock tires, taped wheels and hypermiling. In my area it is getting down to freezing at night, so cold starts have terrible gas mileage. However, been doing longer trips lately, which reduces that effect. Looking for an installer for a block heater in DC.
