Please expand on this. If I were, say, a customer interested in keeping informed on my purchase - I will be labeled a troll and banned if I do not post to the site ?

I was banned for just one day. I went to log in and I got the reply "Sorry guest you have been banned from the Enginer forum" I think Dan was angered by my posts then maybe had a change of mind after removing one of my new topics on another dodgy BMS.

So from what I understand, the box with the batteries and dc converter sits above where your spare tire normally is? Obviously you dont want to leave your spare tire under the box so does this area remain void? Is there anyway you could use the kit without the large box and utilize the space in the well more efficiently?

I only ask because I take a lot of road trips and If I got the kit Id like to be able to utilize all of the space available to me. If I could lower the kit into the well and have usable space above the batteries and below the trunk floor that would be nice.

Great thread though. Very informative! It sucks these kits dont pay for themselves but Im trying to look past that because they are so cool

There is a website with sales phone number. Whether consumer and or Gen3/Gen2 owners go there may or may not make the above "active " statement have veracity.
The same holds true for EU

    Hi NorTex,
I think your information is out of date.

The Website, enginer.us has not been updated since July 2012 and the phone number goes to a generic Vmail that does not get any response.

In the EU there is a company that has claimed to provide an improved system but the cost is much higher and I have not seen any indication that their system is really improved as they claim.

    Thanks,
    Dan

I confirmed that I can still get some parts, I have not confirmed that I can obtain complete systems.

I agree that some of the info on the website (maintain in colorado) is dated information ......they also stopped listing on ebay..................HOWEVER THE FOLLOWING OTHER CONVERSIONS SITES DO ANSWER
    MOTORS CITY MOTORS Homepage
    and
Pacific Electric Vehicle Plug-in Kit Installation

    As for the EU
that is MD Tech/Fountain Electric/Shanghai aka PHEV kit

Both dimitri(enginer)USA and Sush(MD tech) have posted here in this forum

    Hi NorTex,
I stand by my previous statement.....
I think your information is out of date.

Pacific EV is not doing any Enginer stuff and have not been for several years. I think that they will support the BMS that they designed and that they also will do repairs on customers EVs and PHEVs but charge the customer at an hourly rate for work independent of what the system is.

The Web site for Motor City Motors shows Enginer systems with DB8 BMSs and Thundersky cells. Those were not used by Enginer since 2010, so that Web site is way out of date.

Dimitri, according to his LinkedIn site quit as president of KUBT, inc. shortly after they purchased rights to Enginer technology. I know that KUBT never honored any Enginer obligations that Jack eluded to when he announced the transfer.

Again, Enginer is not active in the USA.

    Thanks,
    Dan

Not sure why you keep restating the "dated' statement.(whatever)
The veracity of your statement as "fact" and "not active" is for you to prove....
    Many websites have dated information
