Not yet. Even though they will most likely say no, I'm waiting to hear from the home insurance company. If they do say no, I will contact my auto insurance; probably by tomorrow at the latest, I'm not going to wait too long for the home insurance company. Thanks.
That's good. The winds weren't even that bad, just an old tree and a C in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Glad no one was hurt... Your Prius C is small, yet tough.... Hope it works out well for you... Insurance Companies charge us all an arm and a leg and yet when it's needed they rarely seem to want to help... Good luck, and again glad you and no one else got hurt.
Thank you Delta Flyer II! The car is now at the dealer--they have a very reputable body shop and they only use Toyota parts-- and I'm just waiting to hear from the insurance adjuster. Will follow-up when the car is repaired. Thanks again.
I am happy to report My C is home looking like new; actually looks better than before the accident. $3700 worth of damage which my auto insurance took care of--less my deductible--without any hassles. Thanks to all for your good info and kind words. P.S. If you ever rent a car, try and avoid Hertz. Or should I say Hurts? What a pain!
Sorry to hear about that glad your ok On a good note there are some awesome new tail lights coming out for the C. Check out this thread in the Accessories and Modifications section. You already have to replace yours anyway. GI: JDM Full LED Tail Lamps | PriusChat
I wish they were available now, I would have worked a deal with the insurance, but the car is now fixed. These are now on next years wish list.
Glad to see it worked out! I have had my 2013 C for 25 days now. Doing great. Wife's C purchased same day still has 4-5 gallons left 'til refill. Might make it past a month on hers without fill up. Mine took 7 gallons with 394 miles driven. Still learning how to hypermile. By the way....I suspect that the tree was jealous...it probably gets no where near the mileage you get.
