Aftermarket vs. OEM Hatch Struts

I'm looking for long term results from people who have replaced thier rear hatch/tailgate struts with aftermarket or OEM struts. Is it worth paying the premium for the OEM Stabilus Lift O Mat struts? or just get the cheap aftermarkets on eBay or Amazon?

I'd like to know the answer to this exact question...

By the way: today on Amazon:
"Qty (2) OEM Toyota Prius 2008 To 11/2010 Rear Hatch Lift Supports Stabilus" for $49 would that be considered premium price or cheap?
