O-nex slim ballasts. I am really a big Denso supporter but I could not afford $500 for two sets of Denso.

I hope you don't drive around with your reflector based foglights on, especially after putting in HIDs. The oem foglights don't really have a proper cutoff.

In your before and after pics I can tell that you didn't have the foglights on in the before pic. See how everything above the lowbeam cutoffs is dark, as it should be. In your after pic, there is the nice cutoff from the lowbeams, but the HIDs in the foglights have illuminated everything above the lowbeam cutoffs.

This is known as GLARE and it is dangerous as well as highly annoying to other drivers and people you approach while driving around. :(

Actually the before and after obviously have the fog lights on. Not that I think it's anyones business to tell me what is right or wrong where modding is concerned as I think your putting some ethical standard on me that's your standard not mine. Your also assuming allot.

On that note, did you know the fog lights can be adjusted up or down? It's pretty easy to point the fogs a bit down to not shine directly into driver eyes. THAT I believe is the polite thing to do. I had allot of stuff to get done yesterday. I did not get around to it. Other than that I see no problems with having the fogs on all the time. It gives me more ground clearance with light on the road and for me that means safer driving. Pointed a tad in the down position of course.

Actually, I do know that the foglights can be adjusted down. :)

I've spent more than my share of time installing foglights, both OEM and retrofitting projector type foglights, see link in my signature below. ;)

So I know that the OEM foglights, even when pointed all the way down, still spray a lot of glare up above the lowbeam projectors' cutoff.

If you don't believe me, do this simple test... with a wall or buildings, houses, trees, etc in the foreground, look at the illumination from just the low beams without the foglights. Then turn the foglights on and off, noting how there is a lot of illumination (glare) above the lowbeam cutoff when the foglights are on.

Regardless, I don't intend to sidetrack this thread too much. :( But I have a feeling that it would be almost impossible to convince you to remove those HIDs from the reflector foglights. Carry on... ;)

They are 15 x 8, 35 offsets with stock tires (bit of stretch).

Here is a night time view. Still not very accurate on the HID brightness and color but ALLOT better than the other pics form yesterday. I really want coils now. Gonna have to make that happen some time soon.

This is what I did on my free time today. Installed my Prius Plug-In Tail Lights. very happy. I love these lights over both the other stocks. Clean, simple and elegant. Quite a pain in the a## without the right tool to pop the headlights off but other than that is was pretty straight forward. I also seemed to have killed a bulb lol! So off to Pep Boys.

Ok so before/after and power on. Plus a close up. I'll take a night shot later. But you guys have prob. see all that before lol!

do not know why the iPhone has so much trouble with led and hid color. It's so way off. The reds are much more pronounced in the tail light and to the naked eye there is very little orange like it shows here. Well I guess I should not complain it is only and iPhone. However I love that one can see all the dirty car :)
