Aloha, Picked up the v a few weeks ago and wife is really enjoying her Prius! Set up the key fob to unlock all doors with one tap, only driver door opens with SKS. Averaging 46 mpg! Her commute to work is mostly downhill, so her return home has her going almost 6 miles uphill. Also did a few trips (60 miles round trip) to Kona (mostly level) and Waimea (mostly uphill). Her iPhone 4 doesn't show info when music is connected via bluetooth. I do go info (artist, song title) when I use my 4s. Regarding the steering wheel; seems to be made of a hard textured, rubber like material, not plastic. Doesn't feel too bad. Dealer said Door Edge Guards may be available at the end of the month, but body molding can't be found. Going to order that from chat store. Prius v badge off and Alpha badge on. Next, the wheel cover go!
Congrats on your new Prius v! We've had ours for ~18 months now and still love it as much as when we first bought it.
I found body side moldings at "Spoiler & Wing Kind" in MI. $79 plus shipping and they custom make it for what color your car is. Marc Vermont
Aloha, We do have a "destination charge" here (Japan - Honolulu - Kona). After the additional 10 yr/100,00 mile warranty, bumper to bumper, including the hybrid components and electronic rust protection (a must have on the islands) and 4.176% sales tax on the Big Island, it came out to around $32,000, for the v Two.
I have the same version, make sure you take those wheel covers off ASAP, they sell on eBay for up to $50 each! Do a search for the Toyota hub covers too. Variously priced from about $15 each upwards of $40 each!
Really like this color, considering upgrading from my Prius C to the Prius V Sea Glass Pearl. Just curious if you considered any other color choices? I also like Blizzard White Pearl, but something about the green is very appealing!! Thank you!!
