I've got the Display Audio unit w/ Nav. When I connect my iPhone via USB it automatically connects to the internet (which is good, I like that), But it also starts playing iPod music regardless of the audio source I was on. I don't like that. Is there anything I can do to stop the iPod music from playing automatically?
I'm having the same issue with my android phone. It automatically starts streaming my music even if I'm listening to Sirius or whatever. Very annoying.
I have noticed the same thing. It does not always do it. If I shut off the car while listening to SAT, then the next time I get in the car, iPod starts playing....but not always. Maybe 50%
There is no option to turn off this "feature". I wish Toyota would set up a separate feedback page for complaints and suggestions for Entune.
I think it is an iOS problem. I use my iPhone as my work phone (I work from home). I use a headset w/microphone. Half the time when I end a phone call I hear music playing from the headset. I searched for a solution only to find many reports of spontaneous music. So, this time, I am not sure Toyota is at fault.
This is annoying. I did discover a bit of a workaround, though... If I connect my iPhone before starting the car, the music does not start automatically.
Interesting; I will try it. I guess the other solution would be to disable the connection for music in the Bluetooth menu. I assume that will work.
Same thing happens for me when using bluetooth instead of USB with my iPhone. Happened with my 4S and now also happens with my new 5S. I'm running iOS 7.0.2. Always happens when I activate navigation apps (Apple's native maps app, Google maps, Garmin USA) when my iPhone is connected via bluetooth. I have to pause the music. Or, I have to go into the "recently used apps" bar and close the music app. I have a 2011 Prius...so it is not an Entune Nav system...I assume. Very odd functionality. And a PI(|). Hard to imagine there is not a setting to disable "Auto-Music Play."
