Can anyone recommend a lumbar support aftermarket option for my Pkg 3? I drive over 100 miles per day with bad back and need the extra support. Thx Bob
bob: i use a small black mesh support that straps around the seat. it was cheap, like $2.99 at discount or discontinued type store. we have several for both cars and they work pretty well. sorry, no name on the unit - and no packaging left. bart in socal.
Reviving an old thread - Anyone ever find good aftermarket lumbar support for the Prius, for those cars that do not have appropriate driver's lumbar support? I have a Prius III, and would love to take apart the seat and add some appropriate hard lumbar support in the seat itself. Doesn't have to be motorized - any approvement over stock would be great. p.s. I tried that angel mesh - its decent for the price, but it provides too much lumbar in my case. I'd also like to hide any lumbar device, for sake of looks as well.
This looks like one option... Rostra Precision Controls, Inc. I am very interested to install seat heaters (as you may see from my other post). I would be very interested to find out if the wiring harness for heated seats (as well as the optional lumbar pump) that can come with the IV (or V) is the same wiring harness in our III's. That could make some of the installation much easier if it is... Best of luck & please keep us posted, Eric
I am wanting to install something permanently in the seat, anyone done this and which product did you use!?
Amazon.com: Memory Foam Lumbar Back Support with Strap: Health & Personal Care Carex Lumbar Support Cushion with Memory Foam : Target I've used a memory foam pad for years and it's adequate, the first link is one with a strap, the second shows a few different choices, one massages True it's always got to be set in place, takes a second and actually will increase your flexibility (a little)
