Hello, I am looking at a 2009 Prius, option 6 with Leather seating. It has about 70 K miles on it. It is Toyota Certified for 12 K miles or 1 Year. CarFax shows 1 driver and no accident and all the recommended service done. The list price at the dealer is 17 K $. Toyota is offering 1.9 % APR loan for 60 months. I like looks of Gen II better so I am interested in 2009 model. I want to use this car till the end of decade maybe another 100 K more miles. I will try to negotiating price down by 1 K. My questions are Is this a good deal? What should I lookout for when I talk to the dealer? The dealer is asking 17 K, what should be my opening offer. Thanks for your help. Ashb
I would say that the price is a little high. But I do not know your location and the demand for Prii. Just as a perspective, I bought my '08 Prius (package 6) a little over 2 years ago with 50,000 miles for $17k. FWIW I am located in California and the demand in my area is pretty high. In the end, do what makes you happy as long as you are comfortable. Good luck in your shopping.
