Hey folks, just joined up, didn't really "want" a prius, but the deal was too good to pass up. I found a 2008 with 77k miles. I got it for $10,900 and well, it was a great deal. So now I need to learn about it, as I can't leave well enough alone. I'll have pics here soon. This is just an example, it's dark outside so....I'll post pics of the actual car tomorrow. I'll have a lot of reading to do....so I'll probably be lurking around a bit.
Welcome. Like you, I wasn't planning to buy a Prius. The cars at the top of my list turned out to feel cramped, or hard to see out of, or something else that wouldn't work for us. When we finally looked at the Prius, it fit all our needs and had some great features. We found a good price at a dealership and I've never been happier with a car.
Ok got a couple of pictures. It's got tinted windows, and an aftermarket bluetooth. I actually like it more each day.... She's clean
As far as not 'wanting' a hybrid, if you just drive it, you will get 90% of all the mileage that the hyper-milers do, with no change in your habits. It has all the power an adult could need, just not all the power a boy could want. I hope you enjoy your as much as I have enjoyed mine.
