Hey all! Just purchased a 2007 Prius in Classic Silver Metallic. I have been a member a while mostly researching before making my decision. Originally wanted to get a 3rd gen but the deal was just too good to pass up on this one. Coming from the Toyota family as my last car was an 09 Scion XB. MPG is a pretty big deal considering my 70 mile commute every day (Goodyear to Tempe). First order is cleaning it up, getting a new set of tires (Goodyear Fuel Assurance Touring), HID's and a few other goodies. Looking forward to learning a lot and adding where I can! Cheers!

Wow and you guys are mind readers! HA! I was just researching tint and have a contact already. Going to strip and retint the rear windshield. I have the 33% legal limit in the front and will be going Dark as possible on the sides and rear. I have a little one too that I like to keep out of the sun. Liking the heat shield! Thanks for the idea!
(I live in MS now but I was a fry cook in Phoenix in the late 70's, you never really forget the heat) It is early to tell for sure, (in 20 years we will know) but mountains and heat seem at least as important to battery life as age or mileage. So keep it cool, and your humans will thank you as well.
