Just got a 2013 Prius V. Can't seem to play music from USB card. Audo system doesn't seem to recognize a USB cars is inserted. Anyone have this problem or can tell me how to play music from USB card?
In addition to describing the music format, I believe it would help if you described the "USB Card". Through the USB port on my 2013 V-5 (with ATP) I have successfully used an Apple Ipod Touch, and a USB flash drive (PNY brand 32 GByte "stick"). The songs were all in either the native Apple or MP3 format. I have never tried formats such as FLAC, etc.
I just got a 2013 Prius (non V) and the USB is not working either. I have two sticks with MP3's on them and they work in my 2011 Scion but my Prius doesn't see the sticks. Any help would be great.
On our Prius 3 with Navigation and USB audio, there are more input selections via the Mode button on the steering wheel. Also have USB, XM, SAT1, and SAT2 in addition to AM, FM1, FM2, CD. SCH-I535
I am in the same boat. I push the USB mode on the screen and it says "no readable files available". There must be a player mode in the system that I need to make the USB compatible to.
This is a 2-year old thread. IF your USB drive is not being recognized it's probably in an incompatible format. The manual details what is supported, but essentially it needs to be formatted FAT32. If the drive is recognized but no files are seen, refer to the list of supported formats. MP3 is playable in most variations. WMA is supported in limited variations.
