We bought our v Five about three weeks ago. I drove it the 15 miles from the dealer and haven't put a mile on it since, due to working a way from home a lot this time of year. My wife loves the car and is hitting 40+mpg. She wants to know if there is a way for all the doors NOT to unlock when stopping and putting the car into park. For example, when she gets out of the car to pump some gas (only once in three weeks) she doesn't want all the other doors to unlock. She wants to be able to get out of the driver door but keep the other three doors locked. Is there a setting for that? Thanks!

Thanks Jimbo, but I'm talking about upon exiting the car. How to keep all doors from unlocking when car goes into park. We want just the driver door to unlock. I don't think that's in the manual for customizable settings.

Customizing the door-unlock-when-shifting-to-park feature has been really frustrating. My wife drives the car and she considers unlocking all the doors when she parks to be a safety concern. We started on page 529 in the manual. I tried this method at least 25 times. No luck. Finally, she called the dealership and made an appointment, drove 15 miles each way, and had them hookup the laptop and reprogram it (no charge). Then a few days later, I was knocking around in the menus, and stumbled upon what parnami says, it is under the setup button. Now I'm REALLY FRUSTRATED: 1)the owners manual doesn't mention this at all, 2) the method in the manual doesn't work, and 3) we put 30 miles on the car fixing something I could've fixed in 30 seconds in the driveway. Come on Toyota, can't you do a better job of updating your manual, rather than just copying last year's?
