Finally got the engine covers installed. Requires trimming of the radiator tank cover, radiator cover and inverter cover.

Nice - that really gives the engine bay a finished look.

Odd, my inverter cover needed no trimming at all.

Nice and clean. I like it. But I would think the added weight may decrease your MPG. :)

Why? I don't expect to even look into the engine compartment beyond an oil level check for 100k miles. And with any such install, I wouldn't know how it would affect component cooling. Warranty effect?

These OEM covers appear to be standard equipment on the Prius sold in some markets so it is doubtful that they would cause problems or performance issues. The engine compartments of higher end vehicles made by Toyota and sold in the U.S. now have completely covered engine compartments.

There will be no warranty effects to the modification or installation. It will not make any cooling effects to the engine components. It just makes the engine compartment look tidy and neat not exposing the wiring and the inverter.

It can be done without trimming but it bulges on the side. The trimming is minor just using a wire cutter. I will get a picture next time to show you were the trimming is done.

The CT200h inverter cover is $58.61 from Sewell Lexus in Texas (which I think is less than on eBay) with a car forum member discount. I don't know if PriusChat is an accepted forum. Sewell is a ClubLexus forum sponsor/vendor and is the least expensive seller of Lexus parts I've found . According to Sewell's website, retail for the inverter cover is $95.30.

That is really a good price for the cover. That's almost half the price the ebay seller sells it for. Does it include the bracket? Check the link. Toyota Genuine Prius Engine Room Inverter Cover JDM Prius C 2010 2011 2012 2013 | eBay

I suspect the Sewell price does not included the bracket. They list an inverter bracket for $16.58. It is necessary to register with a member name from an acceptable forum to see the best prices: 2011 : OEM Electrical (HV INVERTER) Replacement Parts

You also have to pay for Sewell shipping. The original Sewell Lexus is in Dallas by the old airport. Shipping has seemed reasonable but they are not all that far from where I live in Kansas.

Little confused...My v 2 came with these covers, just not the one over the tank on the far left of the pic. (Is that the coolant? I honestly haven't even really poked around much under there yet.)

Mine is the five model but did not come with the covers. The one in the far left is the coolant tank covers. It's $39.+ from Sewell Lexus plus shipping.

I have recently fitted the inverter cover from the CT200h to my Gen3 Prius, here are my thoughts.
    1. Cover is good for keeping dirt and importantly road salt off the inverter, which is susceptible to cosmetic corrosion
    2. The replacement front bracket which bolts to the inverter and front top cross member can be bent to fit the Prius. Useful as it contains a mounting hole for the plastic expanding stud which secures the front of the cover, and provides alignment.
    3. On the Prius there is nowhere for the L/H stud to mount so I used a cable tie with rubber cushioning.
    4. The front of the cover has to be trimmed to nestle just behind the cross member cover, but looks neat IMO when done carefully.
    5. The R/H top corner of the cover has a clip which fits into a circular depression in the inverter casting.

A good modification, but cost me £60 for the parts
