I've noticed that some folks have curious things under their avatar in place of the usual "Prius Poster" etc. How do I change mine? Thanks.
ok... now that i look at it, the answer seems vague.... go to "my controls" at top of any page. on left side under "personal info" then do the above...
umm under avatar title. also, forgive me if i not correct, but you MUST have tenure first. you do not. that may explain why you have not the option
In this context, Tenure means you've been around for a while. When a teacher or college professor gets tenure it means she cannot be fired except for cause. I don't know whether Dave is right or not about tenure being required. He might be. Click on My Controls at the top of any page, then look for Personal Profile / Edit Profile Info. Then at the top of the page, the first form field will be Custom Member Title, if the option is available to you. Note that you are a "Prius Poster," whereas I was a "Senior Prius Poster." You might need to wait to become a "Senior" before the option is available. Stick around. It won't take all that long. I've been on this board for a couple of years. Dave's been here for almost that long. Seniority has its privileges.
I think it's a great thing to be able to change the "title" under your avatar. It's just one more thing that provides a little more insight into the person behind the posts.
i kinda thought i might have overheard someone saying it could have been that you may need to have been a premium member with triple figure posts.
i haven't sent in my donation yet (have had intentions for maybe 3 months now) and i can change mine. think it's 500 posts.
