im not sure what you mean. do you mean that we put yellow bulbs in the DRL/highbeams? or made the drl actually the fog light? i actually plan on making the DRL/highbeam bulb into a yellow bulb. but i am also looking for a decent bulb that will actually last a long time.
I have not really looked at which bulb is the high beam, just figured the DLR bulb was all by its self. So are you saying the DLR bulb is also the high beam bulb? If the DLR bulb is only for DLR than yes, I want to switch it to a yellow bulb.
yes, if you have a C, the DRL and highbeam are one bulb. the DRL and high beam use the same bulb but the DRL uses only about 40-50% of the full power. the highbeam uses the full 100% power. the bulb is a 9005 i believe that nokya bulbs are good.
From personal experience Nokya hyper yellows are the cleanest jdm yellow bulbs ive seen. but like you said DRL uses only 50% of the power so it doesnt produce that 100% hyper yellow you want from say a jdm foglight. I have these Nokya 9005 bulbs in my girl's 2012 accord's DRL and it doesnt look much different from stock (very disappointed)... but since the accord uses the DRL/Highbeam combo it becomes apparent when u flash someone a highbeam =)
You also don't want to have the highbeams on at night, even at DRL reduced power, because they don't have any cutoff in them to prevent glaring into other driver's eyes. SCH-I535
I have to report a different experience. I am running the nokya yellow bulbs in my drl/highs. They are much yellower than stock.
i wanted to somehow get my fog lights to be on independently to use as my DRL if i choose to do so. anyone know how to wire that up? i had it done on my truck. where my fogs can go on separately from every other light.
Justin, you just need to rewire where the relay gets it's trigger signal from. In OEM form, it only goes on if the low beams are on. So you need to move the trigger wire over to a source that's hot when the ignition is on (Ready Mode). SCH-I535
Maybe its just the honda then because it doesnt give off that bright yellow we wanted from the nokya bulb.
