First post, and new Entune user, so please bare with me... 2013 Prius v 5 without the JBL system. I read all the other threads and figured out how to get the phone (iPhone 5, iOS 6) to communicate with the Entune regarding SMS transmission. I even (gasp!) read the owner's manual. Messages appear on the screen, and I can enter a menu where I can read them and press a button that reads them aloud, however, there are no other functions available to me as shown in the owner's manual (reply to message, etc). Am I missing something? Thanks everyone, and I look forward to learning all the tricks I can and to one day hopefully assist someone else!
The dealer mentioned to me replying to sms messsages can be done when the phone is hooked up via USB to the Prius When Bluetooth is connected replying to SMS is not an option. I never tested it.
Once I connected the USB Cable and fired up Entune, the other message functions appeared, but since no was actively texting me, I wasn't able to attempt to use the functions. Will try later today once the wife is home. Fingers crossed, MBRGuru!
Your in the wrong screen. 1) on your iPhone go into settings. Go into Bluetooth. Show notifications put ON. see picture 2) turn the entune app on 3 connect the iPhone to your car via USB cable 4) have someone send you a text message 5) the message will appear on your car multimedia screen 6)on the car multimedia screen the message will have about 20 respond messages select one and transmit
I don't have that on my car. Maybe someone will pick up your question and respond. Looks like you can sync your iPhone calandar, photos and emails. Now that is Awsome
I have a iphone 4s. I can receive text messages and Entune will read them to me, but the iphone wont allow the system to send the automated replies. I guess it is still true on the iphone 5. Anybody try it with the 5s?
