HUD apps for smartphones

    Downloaded the app DigiHUD yesterday on my Galaxy S3. It has a mode where it displays the information in mirror image (reversed and upside-down) so when you place your phone on the dashboard, you will see the display reflected in your angled windshield right-side up.

    It is very cool and works very well at night, where the numbers seem to float inside your field of view. You can select different display colors and what information to display.

    It works off your gps so you don't have to plug anything into your OBDII port.

    Right now, I'm happy with just mph in a cyan color.

    There seems to be quite a few apps out there to choose from, but this is the only one I've checked out so far.

    Maybe buy a Galaxy S4 tomorrow? Many carrier's are offering big credits for iToy's ;)

    Now I have to get one of those sticky mats so my phone doesn't slide around or fall off the dashboard. :D
