I waited almost two weeks for her to get here. My dealer had to find one with the color combo (Sea Glass with Bisque) and the option package (4 with solar roof) I wanted. Had to snag one from the east coast!! No name yet, I've only had her 1 day. It is like driving a spaceship.
It's like the exact opposite of what I wanted. Dark with dark with no sunroof. Congrats! What kind of car are you giving up?
I have an A4 Audi Cabriolet 2003 with really low miles that I am keeping for my summer car. Trade in was not worth giving it up.
Congrats on your new Prius. I waited many years before getting mine. Sea Glass Pearl is the color choice for me too. Still on my second tank of fuel so still learning all the hybrid terms and tricks. Focusing on mileage is making me enjoy driving again, without the hot rod mentality. It's a whole different mindset and one that will save gas, money, lives, etc. etc.. Enjoy!
Even better. Always good to just add to the stable, especially when you have a fun to drive car in addition to your Prius.
You will love the solar sunroof - I leave my fan ON all the time when the weather is warm and what a difference it makes for the interior temperature when you get back into the car. Great color - congrats -- enjoy and welcome!
Thanks to all of you for welcoming me and my new ride to this board. I've been reading a lot of posts and have gained a wealth of information. I'm sure I'll have more questions after I drive it a while. I love the color combo, solar roof and as soon as I get the hang of the nav system it will feel normal.
So as of today I have 525 miles on her. 200 were dealer delivery. I am getting 49.3mpg with a 2/1 ratio of freeway and town driving. Still have slightly under 1/2 tank. My hubby is driving her for the first time today so the mileage may take a dive as he learns how to drive it. This is such a cool car. My 92 year old Dad is thoroughly impressed and he is s staunch Ford guy. He has been on two 80 mile round trips with me so he is getting a feel for it. He is totally sold on how quiet the car is. He is quite hard of hearing with dual hearing aids and we can have a normal conversation without the background noise. of other cars. Thumbs up from the old guy!!

So the plot thickens. I got a call from the broker who we purchased the car thru yesterday. Seem like the FED-EX package he sent to the dealership with all of the purchase documents and the check from BECU for the car has gone AWOL. FED-EX acknowledges getting the package but has no idea where it is. The dealership is wanting their money!! silly wabbits.. My broker is on vacation and not back until Monday so we have been on the phone figuring out the next steps. I went to BECU yesterday afternoon at 2pm. I had to FAX a paper to the dealership for them to sign that they did not have the car nor the check. Stop payment on the original check was made and I had a replacement check by 3:30. The dealership is overnighting new documents to me to sign with a pre-paid envelope for return. Hope to get all of this done by Tuesday. Someday I hope to get the temporary license out of my back window and a real plate for Kai. (To the Sea) And yes it is SofLex not leather. Love the seats, very comfortable and I have back issues after surgery two years ago.
