Just picked up my black/gray package #7 a few days ago. 4 weeks from deposit to delivery...not bad. Although, I did have to go to a small rural dealership in another state to get the color and package that I wanted. The bigger dealerships had longer waiting lists.
Sparky was Tideland Pearl. When he was mortally wounded in an SUV sandwich, we purchased Ruby who is, naturally, Salsa Red.
Don't have mine yet...I will have it in the next 1-2 weeks and it will be Black. My 2nd choice was Seaside, and I still think it's a beautiful, fun, bright color; but quite prefer black cars in general. My 2nd choice would have been Tideland for 2006 if it were still available as I think that color is just gorgeous and mysteriously ever-changing.
I'm surprised how popular the red prius are. I only see silver and white ones in my area (L.A. suburbs). I drive a barcelona red, so i feel unique---in my area at least.
I just got mine last week - Barcelona Red Metallic. There were four Prii in my parking lot this morning (I work with two other Prii owners and another one rents a space in our lot)...all different colors! A black, a driftwood, a seaside, and mine! I think there are more in my lot than there are on the Toyota dealer's lot!
HUMU is a Seaside Pearl Prius; an "SPP" if you will. Love the color, although it will be harder to see if it gets driven into a swimming pool. Nonetheless, I love blue and the Seaside is a stately blue rather than a Disney/kid's toy blue. Bob
I orderd the new Magnetic Grey, I haven't got it yet, didn't stop me from voting for it. Anyone heard when the first greys will be delivered? jay
I actually kind of like the red, and I don't usually like red. But my girlfriend responds to it with "are you going through a mid-life crisis, that you feel you need a penis-car?" So I guess it will be either the silver or the green for me. Or maybe the magnetic grey, if it is not too dark.
I am suprised to see so many Seasides in the poll. Around here, I mostly see silver & Tideland... My other choice, which I was really torn on, was the Barcelona red.
I just bouhgt a Silver Pine Mica with Grey interior. I feel unique here in the Bay Area since all I see is silver, driftwood, and white. By the way, why is magnetic gray delayed till may, I don;t get the rationale. pure marketing reason?
Is there a color that is close to Magnetic Gray? I've seen something that is fairly dark (gray I think), but none of the 2006 colors look like it. Thanks in advance.
I im taking delivery of a 2006 Barcelona red in a couple of weeks, does that mean that I am buying a penis car??? Or am i having a mid-life crisis at 23?
