See asterisked items in addition to the scheduled maintenance items: 100,000 Miles or 120 Months o Replace engine oil and oil filter o Rotate tires o Replace engine and inverter coolant ** As nh7o said replacing the transaxle ATF WS is money in the bank, probably every 60,000 miles. o Visually inspect brake linings/drums and brake pads/discs **Since the shoes, drums, pads and discs may not even be close to worn out, I recommend cleaning and lubing the rear disks and adjusting the parking brake at 100,000 too. Mine had 50% original thickness at 125,000 miles. As long as you're not a two-foot driver they last a long time. Additional Maintenance Items for Special Operating Conditions Driving on dirt roads or dusty roads OR SMOKER or SHEDDING PETS: *** Inspect Battery Blower Motor and clean as necessary. Not a Toyota scheduled maintenance item, but if 1 or more of these 3 conditions exist, it's a must to at least check. o Inspect ball joints and dust covers o Inspect drive shaft boots o Inspect engine air filter o Inspect steering linkage and boots o Tighten nuts and bolts on chassis
Am I reading my maintenance book correctly for the gen III when it says change inverter and engine coolant at 100K but when you read the foot notes it says inverter coolant at 150K?
That is what the manual says. A lot of people on here feel that 100k is too long for the coolant change. I did both of mine at 50k and plan to do it again at 100k. After Used Oil Analysis of the transaxle fluid the advice on here is to change at 30k miles and then 60k intervals. Other than the two above you can plan to follow the manual.
