Hi all, I just got a 2013 Prius 4. I received my 4300 kit from XS. I also added the relay cable in the order. This is my first HID upgrade. I honestly have no clue what to do with the relay cable. Ok. There's a positive wire and a negative wire. They go to the battery source. However, I have no idea where the following connector should go to. Can anyone help? 1. A really long cable with a male connector 2. A short cable with a male connector 3. A short cable with a female connector Thanks
Probably not the best person to answer your question, but from what I've read about the XS kit the relay cable isn't necessary. The rest is just plug and play.
The long and short worse with the male ends go to your ballasts. The short female goes to the driver side stock power source that was originally plugged into the headlight bulb.
Corrected. And correct. OP, as long as you have the relay, you might as well wire it in. The long red wire, the one with the inline fuse should get power from an open terminal in your engine fuse box. The whole point of the relay is to not get power from the stock headlight wiring harness/connector. So your stock wiring connector on the driver's side serves as just the trigger for your relay, which then gets power from your fuse box. SCH-I535
