When I read you have to run the ICE every 124 miles and you have to add gas every 6 months I thought "Who me?" Now I understand. I didn't add any gas in August and I'm only down 2 bars on the gas gauge (8.9 on SG II). Unless I go on an out-of-town trip I almost never use the ICE. I do, sometimes, charge more than once a day, over night and in the morning when the kWh are still cheap on my time-of-use rate.

Added gas in August... but got my best mpg figures to date (bought the PIP last Oct so never had summer months MPG before this summer)...
Drove 1251 miles- at 113 mpg, consumed 11 gal.
My EV ratio was up to 48%, another record for me.

My old car used to use 11 gal per week!

    Love the PIP!!!

When I filled on the 29th to come home my MPG since April 5th was 532 MPG.

My daily commute is 14.6 miles each way with a 3 mile stretch at 65 mph.
Luckily, I don't have to pay for my charging at work.
Then on Friday's I usually run out of battery going to dinner and not able to charge for the drive home.
Therefore, I need to get gas once a month.
