Sadly, that will never happen with me. The best I can do is a day or two of all 999 MPG. Of course, today I ranked #1 in the country with my ECO history... since it was the first day of a new month and I drove nothing but EV early in the morning. Unfortunately, only at mid-afternoon, my average has already dropped to 299.6 MPG and my position down to #46. Oh well, at least I can live vicariously through posts of other PHV owners on this thread.
Yeah! It is just a one time summer thing for me. Fall coming just around the corner, cool weather. Holiday travels, Thanks giving, Christmas, Winter! -20 below.
Just wondering about the ICE starting every 125miles(?? i think) I went several cycles for my first time ever in august, and the ICE started for no apparent reason so I was at my 125miles. And then my 999 went down to 550 or so before ICE shut off. I always reset my trip A each drive, and leave trip B for lifetime which is at 110mpg now, so I dont know what mine is for say last 500miles. All i know is my august was pinned at 200miles. So, retired....when your ICE starts at the MAX ev mile limit, you can get it back up to 999 after that? Dan
rockerdan, Yep! If, You drive enough EV to get it back to 999. When I started I had about 80 miles of mixed driving EV-HV. Don't really remember what my mileage was at that time because that was April 5th. It took me about 2 weeks I think to get it to 999 then like you said a person hits 124 miles engine starts and back under 999 took me about 15-20 miles of ev to get back to 999 again. Then for me I never saw anything other than 999 until I posted. I had the 124 miles always, but I continued to grow my buffer for EV. Hope that makes sence!
