Habanero and Takata Green

I like the habanero color but with bright green wheels/rims ?

I have all my suspension work done at Auto Innovations in Milpitas; Steve and Orlando are awesome. They are. a supplier for Rays/Volkwheels and do great work for very reasonable cost. I went with Rota wheels which have replicas for a fraction of the cost. Wheel Dude in Fremont is good too from what I hear.

I ended up putting white 16x7 Rota Grids on my car and love them. 14lbs before tires mounted. Takata Green or pink was a consideration but white was screaming my name when I pulled the trigger. Great price and super easy to replace should they get damaged; dashed; etc.

I say go for it. Black and silver are just too boring on cars.

 

I like it.

This Takata green wheels is much better looking than most other colors i can think of for this body color

I did a lot of this "photo shopping" for a few weeks before I pulled the trigger on my new wheels. Definately helped narrow down the style, size and color. I ended up with Rota Grid 16's, you can see the size comparison and drop on my car in the Aftermarket Wheels thread on this forum.

All you need to do to complete the look is a large plastic flower in reds and blues, and a 6-foot antenna with 3 45-degree bends.

Still.....
It'll be easy to find in a parking lot.

 

^haha! And if you ever get hit you can tell the insurance company, "How the hell did this guy not see me coming!", lol. Insurance discount in order for visibility!

 

The price is fair. Considering they are limited, new, and also in 16.

That's why I went with Rota; knockoff's yes, but if you curb them, stollen, etc you paid a fraction of the price for very similiar looks. If you care about branding and having baller wheels the Rota would be out of the question. I believe the Rota version of the CE28N are a bit heavier though (maybe 16-17 lbs?). The Enkei RPF1's are nice and comparable in weight to the CE28N. I would have gone with RPF1's if they had the special chrome finish, but I couldn't find any easy.

Rota gets a bad rap from the tuner community, but you know what, they've been around for a minute and hold up very well for a daily driver. I even roll mine with the Rota center caps too, no shame in my game and I have money in the bank to spend on other mods. As they say, "I love Haters".

 

sounds like a great idea, Habanero is a tough color to match rims with.

 

No way... not true. Black looks great.

 

That's more than I paid for my first car!
