I have a Prius C (moonglow). Instead of buying high price car wax (sometimes hard to rub off), I go to the supermarket and purchase a 12.5 oz. can of HONOR Furniture Polish for $1.54. One can will last many weeks. Cost for one waxing about 25 cents. I keep my Prius C in the garage so it gets little rain, wind or dust except when driving on the road. Once a week, I spray the Prius with Furniture Polish and wipe it off with a clean dry rag. I clean and wax the entire Prius C in about 5 minutes. I do it once a week. Some of my friends ask me why my car always looks like new! You have my secret!

Will any brand of furniture polish work, as I am unsure where to find HONOR brand? Thanks!

I am sure any brand will work, but I use HONOR because it is the cheapest I can buy. I purchase HONOR at a local family owned market that carry cheap brand name groeries. Go to a small low cost growery store to find it. Maybe Walmart or Costco will have HONOR. I do not know. Good Luck... PHIL

I have a really tough time thinking about spraying furniture polish on my car. If it was safe and worked well and filling in scratches and blocking UV rays I'd think about it. Otherwise any other huge auto detailing supply store would pick up on the technology and mass produce it for the automotive market. Lets see how many people buy the auto version to polish their coffee tables with it.

Pledge has been a favorite of motorcyclists for many, many years. Honda has there own version too which I use for light touch ups between washes. I personally would not want to use this method to regularly clean a whole car.

Good tip which I will give a whirl.

I find that a good wash and a thorough dry with a micro-fibre cloth works wonders generally.

Of course that works. ANYTHING will work well if you re-apply it weekly on a car that lives in a garage.

I use better quality wax, "Mother's" brand from Pep Boys that costs all of $7 and it lasts 6 weeks and I keep the car outdoors in the sun and rain. We may be paying the same price for wax, about $1 per month maybe.

Furniture wax is very soft. really it is a wax dissolved in oil. It will not last long out doors in the rain and sun. I'd also worry a little about the solvents and what they will do to plastic surfaces like the headlight covers. After four or five years yo might be having to restore the plastic parts.

I do just that. Automotive car way works very well indoors. It might last a full year. High end wood worker and artists will use paste wax on wood. No one who really cares about high-end furniture would use that spay on cleaner. It the solvents are good at cleaning the gunk but are not good for the finish.

I am not sure on the furniture polish, but I am not counting it out either (I just wont use it) . I use and have used Maguires Quick Detail spray/Wax as you dry spray (same thing) with great results on my wifes Barcelona Red Camry, and so far it has worked great om my new Habanero chili pepper (y)

Habanero Orange here as well. Anyone starting to see the rear spoiler fading in color from the rest of the car?

My spoiler was discolored from day 1. Different surfaces react to paint differently. I only notice it in full sun.
