Been doing a little bit of research for tires for the new wheels that are coming in. specs: 15x7 +41 Any recommendations? Been looking at 195/55 and 205/50 LRR options don't seem very plentiful. Is it really worth the extra $ to get LRR?
It is worth the extra to buy LRR tyres. They will pay for themselves completely with fuel savings during there life. In theory acceleration and top speed will also be improved "less drag". I cannot really recommend tyres for your side of the pond but Hankook are worth looking at. John (Britprius)
Visit tirerack.com and compare tires for the reason you want. For high peformance check their laptmes wet and dry, in seconds and not opinions. For wear check owner feedback as well as UTOG ratings. Here we've had good expeience with 205's for the corner carver crowd and 195/55's for the commuter crowd. utog rating. or a combination. good luck.
I have found DISCOUNTTIREDIRECT.COM to be the best place to buy tires. They have many brands , and sizes. They also have free shipping and deliver in only a few days. Also I don't have to pay any kind of tax on them. Check it out.
