Cruze easily trumps Volts sales numbers, which is a very positive thing. the Cruze profits can help defray the Volts' development costs and less the financial loss to GM on each Volt sale. DBCassidy
I like the Cruze a lot and did a few test drives in them. They have a nice euro-style to them and are nicely packaged. However, the Cruze diesel is a real clatterbox. They did a fairly good job with sound insulation, but the moment you open the window it is quite a racket, especially on acceleration. We finally ended up getting the Volt. With the $5k drop in price and some negotiating, we were down to $33.5K before the tax credit for a nicely equipped car. So far it has been a blast to drive. I love silent running and it handles very well. In 2 months we are still on 3/4 of the 2nd tank of gas. The first one was used for a trip up north.
