I started another thread asking for input as to the functionality of the southern regional "Sport" package. The Car I am considering is at $19500. It's a pkg 3 with around 25K wiles. It seems like a good deal, but I am a little hesitant due to the low profile tires and larger wheels. It has the softex fake leather..which I think I like...nav, could do without, backup camera-like, car does look nice, ground effects...probably lose some gas mileage tho.. Any and all advice is appreciated!!
What is the "sport package? Sounds like a Persona the way you are is describing it. 2013 Toyota Prius Persona Series Special Edition 4dr Hatchback 1.8L 4-cyl. Hybrid CVT Automatic Features and Specs Actually re-reading it, it's probably the "Plus package"? If you're not into it, then it's money wasted.. but it's somewhat rare and some prefer it.
Yep, not Persona. It's the Plus or well it may not be the Plus package as in incomplete, but that's parts of the Plus package. Here's a page i found that details it. Toyota Prius Plus Performance Package Brings Body Kit and Lower Springs | Car and Driver Blog From the photo, it has the Plus wheels and pieces of the body kit. I see the front and rear skirts and obviously the wheels.. but it appears not lowered and no side skirt.
Prius with Plus package or partial Plus package are not that common... so if that's of value, sounds good. I wouldn't think you want us to help you decide without being able to actually see the car. GL!
I think someone got stick on letters and put sport below the hybrid badge. I've never seen a Plus Prius nor a Persona in person but they both have their own badge on the liftback part of the trunk. I don't think any Prius have SPORT below the hybrid emblem on the front fenders. If wrong, please correct me.
Southeast Toyota region does their own thing with add-on packages: Prius Sport Package features our all new Eco Friendly Leather, a low-profile 7-piece ground effects kit, 17” forged alloy wheels w/michelin tires, wheel locks, wood grain dash, floor mats, body side molding, rear bumper protector and sport badging. Only available in the following colors: Classic Silver Metallic, Black, Blizzard Pearl and Winter Gray Metallic. MSRP: $4,999 • Sport Package for Prius Four does not include leather or dash. MSRP: $3099 • Sport Package for Prius Five does not include leather, dash or tires (uses factory tires). MSRP: $2599
Wow, I knew SE region Toyota has their own thing going on but they add their own emblems on the car like that?! Wow... That's almost disingenuous IMO as it is not a package offered by Toyota, it's basically 'made up'. Lol
Fair deal in my opinion, just make sure it hasn't been in an accident, get the CarFax, take it to a reliable mechanic. If it were me if everything checked out I'd offer them $18,000 OTD (That includes everything, tax, processing fee etc. etc.)
Carfax and the Toyota background is clean and well maintained. Its priced below KBB trade in, and they are at their end as far as price goes...they went to 19500 OTD..but I have to travel to get it, so would cost me a couple hundred..thanks to all for the replies..if it was silver or white id own it already...
