I bought the Prius when I was 53. Giving some insight into my character, I bought it because it was my dream car, the I-am-middle-aged-so-I-am-finally-going-to-buy-the-freaking-car-that i-want car. I could not be happier with it.
41 here...and first Hybrid. I had a Mazda 626 for 13 years. I'll be 48 or 49 when I get my next car...most likely a 5th gen Prius or a Tesla....or both ;-)
OK all you youngsters, "ain't" my fault I couldn't have bought a Prius until my 47th birthday (1997).
My parents were also amazed that I am not still driving a Sports Car. I am eighty six, yea 86 yrs young, and the Prius is more fun than many of the sports cars I have owned. Brought a Jaguar XK120 back from Europe in 1950 and that caused crowds of people every time I parked it and waves from everyone. Have had a fun life with the 29 different cars I have owned. My '04 Prius did receive waves from other Prii drivers but now there are too many of us. It is rare here to not see a Prius within sight where ever you are.
I'm 38, over the past weekend, my wife told me she'll be taking over the Prius 6-days a week for work & picking up the kids. The ONLY day I can drive it is Sunday......sad sad
