Thanks for the interest! Apparently, not a compliance car, and not a "Lease only" EV. Here are the other shots - busy day - finally got them on line: Yesterday I was in the garage. A black car stops along the curb. 2 guys get out and ask, "Hi -Do you have charging here?". They're speaking with German accents. I say, "Sure! . . . What IS that". They tell me it's a "B" class - which I'd never heard of. Reading up just now, I find that the B class is a European Only, small luxury sport utility vehicle: Mercedes-Benz B-Class - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia And apparently next year, an EV version is coming to the U.S. The 2 guys told me it has a 30kWh usable pack. The german guys had this thing LOADED with test equipment / lots of mult function display screens goin' on inside. They were driving it all over California - from the San Francisco area, down to San Diego. They said the charge rate is in the mid 7kW's range. Good thing our 240v EVSE is on a 40amp breaker! Long story short - they found ME. We're on plugshare - listed as a business since much of our income gets generated from home. We welcome those who are out of charge, for whenever the Irvine Spectrum's (local shopping area) WattStation chargers (a couple miles from our home) are on the fritz. "Fritz ... no pun intended" It was way cool. .
They sell the B class in Canada. Never saw fit to bring them down south though. You think 30 kWh is good for a reliable 100 miles?

A 40 kwh pack sounds like it would be better for aer range and acceleration above 30, but in an unusual move for mercedes they seem to want to keep the cost down. Its great to see another bev coming soon. Mercedes other bev the smart fortwo is already giving some feedback that will be used in this launch.
I saw a silver one on the way home yesterday approaching the bay bridge. I think the decal says E CELL. Poor guy didn't have HOV access like me.
I'd driven a B-Class FCEV at AltCar Expo last year. IIRC, they were being leased to some folks already. Ahh, re: your house being listed on Plugshare.
