Hi there! Twice so far, when my iPhone is paired with my v, base model 5, I get a notice that there is a software update, but it's always popped up at inopportune times. Now that I'm at home, I can't get the message to pop up. Can I manually download whatever it is that needs to be updated rather than waiting for the message again? Thanks!
Found the solution when I searched online for Entune updates instead of Prius updates as I've been doing. It's easy enough: 1. Turn on car radio 2. Plug phone into car USB, agree to the usage disclaimers, etc. 3. Launch Entune 4. Press the Apps button on the dashboard. 5. Wait a few seconds, the option to update will pop up if there is an update.
Where can I look to determine what version of Entune is installed. If it's not the latest, I'd like to have the dealer install the update soon.
I saw a member show you how to see what version of maps you have on the Nav system on other thread. Here is one way how to check software version of the Entune running your apps on the console. Press "info Apps" button, then touch "apps" on screen, then touch upper left Toyota logo to get version info to give to dealer. I think there are different latest versions depending on what model Prius you have and even what trim level. Seek out members with the same model and trim as you or contact Toyota directly and ask them what the latest version of Entune running on the car console of you model and trim (and how to obtain free update if necessary). The updates for Entune running on the car and smartphone are free, the map updates cost over $150.
