hi. i'm a potential owner. i'm supposed to pick up my 06 Prius, SPM w/ dk. interior tomorrow. I haven't seen the SPM in person yet, so i am undecided as to whether or not this will be the Prius I take home. Have you seen the color up close? My only reference has been the brochure and the website. I initially thought the bisque interior would be nice.....actually, i thought that is what i ordered, turns out to be the dark grey.
That my car, I like it a lot. A darker colour for the interior is the way to go, doesn't show the dirt as bad
OK, just drove mine from the dealer an hour ago. I really like the SilverPineMica. It was my 3rd choice after Silver or Red. It's more subtle than I expected. Not too far from a type of silver. Definetily not lime green. I would have preferred Bisque interior but I'm getting used to the Dark Grey now.
This coming from a non-SPM fan, it does NOT look like lime sherbet, don't worry! Looks like more of a soft pistachio green to me.
for "potental owner", I think you will like the colour, but it seems some aren't fans. It's an individual thing. I am planning to buy touch up paint from a company called chip mender. The code for the colour is "6U0", which their company calls "pistacho metallic" for some reason. That will give you an idea of the colour maybe
I pick up my SPM + grey tomorrow or thursday... I've never liked the buckskin thing... so I preferenced for spm + grey, but it will actually be a surprise tomorrow because I told them either would do..
Ok I picked up mine today. SPM + DarkGrey. The color is starting to grow on me. Any idea why toyota delayed the Magnetic Grey till May?
I'm not 100% sure, but I think they delayed it till May so that it coincided with either a special anniversary for Toyota, or with the release of the new Camry. I could be completely wrong though.
