What is it?

Hard to tell how big they are because there is nothing to compare them to like a ruler or a dollar bill, etc, for scale.

It doesn't look like anything that came originally with the car from the factory. It looks like some kind of clamp. Possibly from a roof rack or something.

I just bought one, too. A glossy black 2012 Prius Two from a dealer, certified used, great warranty, etc. Mine doesn't have those clamps, fwiw. Congrats on the purchase though. I'm pretty excited about these vehicles! I am wondering about ice and snow though, so I'll want the right setup.

They look like muffler bearing clamps.

 

Can you use it in on the wife?

 

Perhaps they are clamps for the hatch gas struts to limit the height.

 

Not anything that's attached to a Prius from the factory.

 

They ARE lift support clamps for the gas struts on the hatch.
